Pacific World Bali was established in April 1999 by I B Lolec together with partners Bob Guy, Gillian Guy and Pacific World's founder, Jacques Arnoux who have been engaged in the travel business together for more than 20 years.

Bali is one of my favourite destinations and I have been trying to get companies to go back there for their conferences and incentives for several years now. This was our first major conference to be held in Bali since the bombings and we focused on security to ensure the delegates felt safe at all times.

Another focus was on delivering an exceptional level of service that made the delegates feel like VIPs at all times – from the moment they stepped off the plane. In this regard Pacific World is the perfect partner as their airport staff are on hand around the clock to help delegates and usher them through the formalities without the need to queue for visas, immigration etc.

We held three dinners off-site in stunning locations that thrilled the delegates, as well as taking them on a “choose your own adventure” day tour that concluded with lunch for 100 in Ubud. We had the usual logistical challenges, included some rain, but the Pacific World network and strength in Bali means that problems can quickly be solved and back up plans can be put into action smoothly. Even more importantly, there is always a large team of smiling PW staff ready to help wherever needed – support that makes all the difference to a busy event manager like me!
